Hooke's Joint or Universal joint

Hookes Joint: This type of joints are used for join two shafts, which are non equal shafts this joint is known as hooke's joint or Universal joint. the shape of this shafts are in U- shaped forked end, this end forked shape makes the shaft to attach/intersect with a required angle to obtain a exact fixing position which are non equal shafts and perpendicular or cross arms. this shafts are used to transmit the motion from one shaft to another shaft i.e driving shaft to driven shaft. when the motion is transmitting from one shaft to another shaft, there may be constant inclination in between two shafts. It may varies in actual situation, to transmit the motion from gear box to different axle in different automobiles.
