Jet condenser required a Low amount of water for circulation.
Due to the steam and water comes in contact with each other impurities may present in it, so they cannot be used again.
Jet condensers are less useful for high capacity plants.
Maintenance is low.
Easy in design/construction.
Less cost in installation.
To pump water for circulation power used is less.
Space used for this type of condenser is less.

Surface Condensers:

In Surface Condensers cooling water does not get in contact/mix with the hot steam to condensate the steam.
Surface condensers required a Large amount of water is for circulation.
Due to non-contacting of water and steam it does not contains any impurities, so it can be reused again.
Surface condensers are highly used for high capacity plants.
Maintenance is high.
This design is a little complex.
It is high in cost.
To pump water for circulation power used is more.
Space used for it is more.
