What is Tapping
Tapping:
1. Tapping is the process of producing internal threads by using a tool is known has tap.
2. In tapping, Tap is similar to the bolt which used to make operations like threads , provide with cutting edge, which when screwed in to the hole removes the material from it, there by producing internal threads.
3. There must be a reversed mechanism in machine for the purpose of tapping.
4. Tapping operation can be performed using a tapping attachment on a drilling machine also.
